Our heat stopped working this morning…actually it didn’t stop working it just ceased to heat the house higher than 64 degrees. No big deal if it were just me, but with two little ones I had to finally give in and get them out of the house sooner this morning then I would have liked. I hate it when my time with them gets cut short. It needs to be spring, I mean why is it 30 degrees still in the middle of March. I am over it.
Furnace guy came this afternoon and while I was waiting for him I made these. I have to say the cookie dough was amazing. I could have eaten gobs of it, but the cooked result was a bit of a let down. I love the idea of expresso powder in the dough, but wish there was a little more of a chocolaty kick. I think next time I might actually mix a little cocoa into the dough. Also, I wasn’t very satisfied with the ways these looked in the end. I am a sucker for plump, fat cookies and these just left me feeling deflated, like the cookies themselves.

The dough was amazing! They did seem to go a little flat when baking.
They were a bit flat, maybe a bit more flour would have helped. But agree the dough was delicious.
